Didn’t mean to sound political, but loved the quote to describe how I felt about this dessert… Who would not love something like this? Not that I have much of a sweet tooth, but those rare moments when craving for some dessert – it has to be something like this one. Or the flour less chocolate cake… Or the chocolate muffins with cherries… You get the idea, right?
I’ve developed the habit of always having dark chocolate at home – one can never know when the craving might roll in.
The photo would’t really show much – it’s not one of those desserts that look good. I tried it the same day, then the next and a few days later. And although it tasted heavenly right out of the oven, a few days later it was the best!
- 275 g Dark chocolate
- 100-120 g Butter (Half a pack)
- 160 g Flour (6 tablespoons)
- 350 g Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 6 Eggs
- Boil a pot of water, put a bowl on top for melting the chocolate together with the butter. In a separate bowl sift the flour, sugar and the baking powder.
- Once the chocolate and butter is melted, remove the bowl off top of the pot. Using a whisk pour in the beaten eggs, sift in the “lose” ingredients and mix everything together.
- In the meantime roast some nuts in the oven. Once they turn a bit golden, I take them about (takes ~ 7 – 10 minutes) and roll them between the palms so the skin comes off.
- Mix the nuts into the batter and pour the batter into a prepared pan – lined with parchment paper.
- Heat the oven to 160 degrees and bake for 25-30 minutes. It comes out very moist. Et voila!
